resetseed() in Simulation
« on: October 16, 2020, 10:55:23 am »
Does the resetseed() command do anything to the seed in simulation mode?

I know that it activates, since I get the 'Resetting Seed!' dialogue, but since the only seed you can see in the exported .csv is the beginning seed I wasn't sure if it actually changes it or if the simulation continues to use the initial seed. Love your work everyone!

Er, I think actually resetting seed during a simulation will trigger a seed reset at the site, assuming you're logged in, and doesn't affect the simulation at all. This obviously shouldn't happen and I'll look into fixing it so a seed reset during simulation resets the seed in the simulation only. It'll probably only write out the last seed used in the file though

I thought it might be something like that. I'm not logged in, just to avoid the always thrilling 'press-start-instead-of-typing-runsim' experience. So it's probably not doing anything at all in that case.

I don't care about reading the seed later, so that's no stress. Thanks for the response!
